Many years ago, my parents decided to take me to Disney World and it was all downhill from there. It became a part of my history, every year visit the Mouse and seeing the beautiful castle. The smellitizers on Main Street pumping the beautiful scents into the air, the fireworks shooting colors bright into the sky with an earth shattering boom, and the thrill of meeting all the amazing characters in person altered my brain chemistry and shaped me into a person I am today.
When I grew older, my love for all things Disney never stopped - it only grew. When I finished College, I took on the new challenge of the Disney College Program. For six months, I immersed myself in the culture of working at the parks, growing my knowledge and becoming a stronger and more capable individual. I got to visit my favorite places everyday after/during work and I fell in love with the place more and more.
The real world comes - I have moved on to other places; financially, occupationally, and physically (back in my hometown in Chicago), but Disney always will hold a special place in my heart.
It was only a matter of time before the idea of becoming a Disney Vacation Planner came to me. I waited for many years before looking into it, convinced I didn’t have the time or the bandwidth outside my 9 to 5. Then I decided it was about time to do a little research. I found that not only did I already have most of the tools, I had the passion for the subject and the urge to help others find the love I had for Walt’s dream.
So basically yes, I am a certified Disney Adult! But, I am a certified Disney Adult who loves to help people plan their vacations! One of my favorite pastimes with my friends was planning vacations for them (on many occasions, even writing out a day-by-day Google doc and casually messaging it to them, unprovoked). Another favorite pastime of mine is watching hours and hours of Youtube videos about all things Disney - Learning and absorbing information about the place I love so much.
